Website migration process
301 redirect map
For each URL of the old site, we provide a solution: redirect, 410 Gone, or leave unchanged. Without this step, SEO simply dies.
Content migration
We migrate texts, photos, categories, and products through export, scraping, or manually. The method depends on the capabilities of the old platform.
Preserving meta tags
We transfer Title, Description, H1, and canonical tags one-to-one. For Google, it's the same site that has just been updated.
Testing on a subdomain
The new site lives for 2 or 4 days at an address like <code>new.your-domain.com</code>. You can check everything calmly, and only then do we switch the DNS.
Monitoring after migration
For the next 14 or 30 days, we monitor Search Console, rankings, 404 errors, and speed. We fix issues while they are still small.

Will traffic drop on Google after the migration?
No, as long as everything is done correctly. We prepare a complete 301 redirect map, preserve meta tags, header structure, and URL logic. There may be minor fluctuations in rankings for 3 to 14 days, but then everything returns to normal. Many clients even see an increase due to a faster and more user-friendly site.
How long does the migration take?
A landing page or blog takes 7 to 10 days, a corporate website or catalog takes 14 to 21 days, and a large online store takes 21 to 45 days. It depends on the volume and complexity.
Do I need to turn off the old site?
No. We perform all work on a test subdomain. When the new site is ready and verified, we switch the DNS, and the old site immediately stops responding. Visitors are directed to the new site, and downtime lasts from 0 to 5 minutes.
What about customer data (orders, history)?
Orders and customer data are migrated separately, depending on the capabilities of the old platform. For Tilda, Wix, and ShopExpress, migration is limited due to export restrictions. For ocStore or WordPress, we work directly with the database and migrate everything completely.
Can the old design be kept as is?
Yes, completely. Or we can offer an update with a more modern and faster interface. Often, migration is a good opportunity to refresh the UX.
